Overview

Multi-page print with structure, rhythm and finish.

A booklet gives space for product ranges, service explanations, brand stories, case studies, event programmes, price lists and sales information. The challenge is not simply filling pages; it is organising content so the reader understands where to go next.

We plan booklet work around page count, binding, paper weight, image quality and how the document will be used. A sales brochure has different demands from a product catalogue, and a programme has different priorities from a technical guide.

Good booklet production combines design discipline with practical print knowledge. Margins, gutters, image resolution, pagination and cover stock all affect how professional the finished piece feels.

Typical requirements

  • Stapled booklets and brochures
  • Catalogues, programmes and product guides
  • Cover and inner stock advice
  • Pagination, proofing and print-ready setup

What we plan before print.

Every format has its own practical considerations, so the artwork and production route are set up around the job itself.

01

Structure

Content is grouped into logical sections so the reader can move through the document easily.

02

Presentation

Imagery, hierarchy and spacing are used to make longer print feel confident and readable.

03

Production

Page count, binding and paper choice are planned before artwork is finalised.

Production Notes

Artwork, material and finishing need to agree.

Booklets need careful proofing. We check page order, bleed, safe areas, image quality and cover setup before print.

If the booklet supports eCommerce or wholesale sales, we can also help connect it to product photography, website content and digital campaign material.

Binding and paper options

  • Saddle-stitch binding is cost-effective for shorter booklets, brochures and programmes with suitable page counts.
  • Perfect binding gives a square spine and a more substantial catalogue feel for larger documents.
  • Wiro or spiral binding is useful where a booklet needs to lie flat, such as manuals, menus or reference guides.
  • Inner pages commonly use 90gsm to 130gsm stocks, while covers often use 250gsm to 350gsm with optional lamination.
  • Booklet files need careful pagination, bleed, safe areas, cover setup and proofing before production.

Before we produce

  • Check final size, bleed and safe areas
  • Confirm paper, finish, quantity and deadline
  • Review image quality and colour setup
  • Agree delivery or collection requirements
